Abbie Jaye (Chef Aj)
Healthy, vibrant and energetic, Abbie Jaye (“Chef Aj”) readily admits she wasn’t always that way. Things changed 33 years ago after she began eating a plant-based diet. Pursuing her passion for helping others find their vibrancy, Chef Aj attended the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in northern California to expand her knowledge of nutrition and food preparation. Chef Aj has been preparing delicious and creative plant-based recipes for over twenty years. Today she is the Executive Pastry Chef for the Santé gourmet restaurant locations and serves as an instructor at Chef’s Inc. Culinary School in Los Angeles.
Chef Aj loves to inspire people to eat healthier by showing them that it can be easy, delicious and fun to incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into their diets. Using primarily organic fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts, all of Chef Aj’s vegan creations are free of white sugar, white flour and wheat. She also teaches food preparation classes, demonstrating methods of healthy and tasty food preparation without using processed or refined ingredients including sugar, salt and oil. She only uses plant-based whole foods, such as fruits, as sweeteners. She is the author of Unprocessed: How to Achieve Vibrant Health & Your Ideal Weight and proudly wears her favorite T-shirt proclaiming, “My IQ is higher than my cholesterol!”
